Course Description
Study of compositional devices, methods, and approaches to develop original music.
Goals and Objectives
The goals of this course are as follows:
To develop the learner’s ability to accurately notate music.
To develop creativity in music.
To expand the student’s knowledge of repertoire.
Students who complete this course will be able to:
compose two to three original compositions.
compose various etudes.
demonstrate ability to notate.
discuss and develop creative approaches.

Manuscript paper (as necessary)
Technique Book (to be discussed in first lesson)
