Course Description

This course has been designed to introduce and advance the practice of Drawing through the process of studying inanimate subjects, such as environment and various objects. It is a perceptual drawing course that expounds upon and requires a proficiency in the skills introduced in ARTS1101. The goal of the course is to further your perceptual drawing skills related to representing three-dimensional forms and apply them to the study of inanimate objects.

The goals of this course are as follows:

Gain an understanding of basic visual shapes and forms through observation and drawing.

Begin to conceptualize the subject based on its visual principles.

Implement and advance drawings skills learned in ARTS2211.

Consider the subject compositionally.
