Course Description

This course has been designed to advance the practice of Drawing through the process of studying inanimate subjects, such as environment and various objects. It is a perceptual drawing course that expands upon and requires a proficiency in the skills introduced in ARTS2211. The goal of the course is to further your perceptual drawing skills related to representing three-dimensional forms and apply them to the study of inanimate objects, as well as developing self-discipline in a studio environment.

Goals and Objectives

The goals of this course are as follows:

Gain an understanding of basic visual shapes and forms through observation and drawing

Begin to conceptualize the subject based on its visual principles.

Implement and advance drawings skills learned in ARTS2211.

Consider the subject compositionally.
