Credit Hours: 3 semester hours
Prerequisites: ARTG3612 Digital 3D Organic Studio 1
Course Description
Course will present the concepts and practical processes of developing organic, humanoid models and animation within a virtual three-dimensional environment.
Goals and Objectives
The goals of this course are as follows:
Elaborate on student’s knowledge of the concepts and practices of organic 3D modeling.
Advanced concepts of human(oid) form and believable character movements.
Enhance students understanding of texturing and advanced UVing concepts with emphasis given on development of multifunctional textures.
Develop student’s understanding and utilization of motion capture practices and theory within a production environment.
The objectives of this course are as follows:
Students who complete this course will be able to design and model an advanced three-dimensional human character, as evidenced by successful completion of course assignments and discussion of process with peers and professor.
Students who complete this course will be able to develop organic structures based on an organic natural model, as evidenced by successful completion of coursework and their discussion of practices with peers and professor.
Students who complete this course will have knowledge of the theory and processes for developing UVs and texture alignments, as evidenced by the successful development of texture regions and placements on an organic 3D model.
