ARTG4505 Digital Scene Layout & Design
Credit Hours: 3 semester hours
Prerequisites: ARTG3530 Game Design & Documentation and ARTG3611 Inorganic 3D Studio
Course Description
This class will introduce students to the fundamental principles of environment scene creation with a focus on visual storytelling, layout, design and direction.
The professor will assume the role of art and creative director for the students by providing direction briefs and reference material with specific intent and design in mind. Students will then be expected to create high quality scenes within the specifications with the goal of generating purposeful art that can be used in the personal portfolios.
Goals and Objectives
Students in this class will focus on:
Focus on the fundamental principles of visual story telling through art assets.
Give students exposure to deeper art and design direction specifically for environments
Generate high quality assets for their personal portfolios
